Wellsboro wins battle of unbeatens.

Quinn Henry had 222 yards passing with one touchdown and 130 yards rushing with two touchdowns to lead Wellsboro to their 46-14 win over Muncy on Friday evening.

Wellsboro got on the board first in the first quarter on a Chase Moser 5-yard run, but Muncy would respond quickly with a 48-yard touchdown pass from Coleman Good to Michael Kustanbauter.

With Muncy up 7-6 after the extra point, Wellsboro’s defense came up big.

Brent English intercepted a Coleman Good pass and returned it for a touchdown, bringing the score to 12-7.

Before the end of the first quarter, Quinn Henry would get loose and score on a 68-yard run to give Wellsboro a comfortable 18-7 lead heading into the second quarter.

In the second quarter, Wellsboro dominated. Henry scored on a 5-yard rush to start it off, and then connected with Aidan Hauser on a 23-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter.

With only 19 seconds left in the half, Wellsboro’s Dalton Prough intercepted Coleman Good and returned the ball 69 yards to put Wellsboro up 39-7 at the half.

After the half, Wellsboro scored one last time on a Chase Moser run and Muncy scored again in the fourth on a Coleman Good run.

For Wellsboro, Chase Moser finished with one reception for 39 yards and six rushes for 42 yards with two touchdowns, Dalton Prough had four receptions for 118 yards, Aiden Hauser totaled seven carries for six yards and three receptions for 50 yards with one touchdown, Hunter Brown led the team with seven tackles and Robert Brown added six.

For Muncy, Coleman Good finished his night three of nine passing for 70 yards with two interceptions and one rush for 1 yard and a touchdown. Colby Alpaugh finished with 13 carries for 37 yards and one catch for 9 yards, and Mike Kustanbauter had nine carries for 51 yards and one catch for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Wellsboro improves to 6-0 on the year and Muncy falls to 5-1.

The Green Hornets take on Cowanesque Valley at home next week and Muncy will travel to Columbia Montour Vo-Tech.
