Wyalusing's Chilson signs with Lock HavenWYALUSING - For the past few years Wyalusing's Dalton Chilson has been the lead blocker for one of the best running attacks in the NTL.

Now he plans on taking his game to the next level.

The senior will be attending Lock Haven University this fall and playing for the Bald Eagles.

"Its close," Chilson said about the school. "They have an up-and-coming program I believe I can be a part of."

Playing football in college just seemed like the next step for the Ram.

"I like playing football so much in high school and I've been playing since I was 7 years old," he explained. "So I just want to continue up through college."

He really began to consider his options when one of his coaches talked about his experience during Chilson's sophomore year.

"My coach always talked about how much fun he had playing in college," said Chilson. "I was like 'I want to be a part of that.'"

He also had plenty of options as he looked at five other schools including Lock Haven.

"Cheyney wanted me to come down for a visit," he explained. "Shippensburg had me down there. I've been to Millersville a few times but Lock Haven overall was just the best fit for me."

As for being able to play, Chilson is confident he can get some time in on the field.

"I feel I'm big enough and strong enough so that I could take on the spots if need be," he said.

Regardless, with most of the linemen upper classmen it won't be long before Chilson sees the field.

"Even if I don't play as a freshman I feel like by my sophomore year I will definitely be able to start," he said.
