Canton runs past Montgomery.

The Canton Warriors ran for 307 yards on their way to a 33-15 win over Montgomery on Friday.

James Bowman powered the Canton offense with 187 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.

Timmy Ward started the scoring for Canton at 9:28 of the first quarter with a five-yard run. Tim Davis hit the extra point and it was 7-0.

Bowman had a 35-yard run with 11:49 left in the third quarter and Davis hit the kick as Canton went up 14-0.

Camden Smith put Canton up 20-0 as he picked off a pass and ran it back 25 yards for a score. The kick failed and with 2:36 left in the half it was 20-0 Canton.

Montgomery got on the board with 1:26 left in the half as Hunter Budman had a 39-yard run. The kick was good and it was 20-7.

Montgomery got a safety with 2:39 left in the third and with 11:53 left in the game Brayden Strouse caught a 20-yard touchdown from Trevor Kennedy. The two-point try failed and it was 20-15.

Canton got back-to-back scores from Bowman to wrap up the game. Bowman had a 33-yard touchdown with 6:40 left in the fourth and the run failed and Bowman had a 31-yard run with 2:41 left and Davis hit the kick to cap the scoring.

Ridge Moore ran for 101 yards on 15 carries and Ward ran for 12 yards.

Moore was 5-for-9 passing for 33 yards. Levi Gaiotti had three catches in the game and Smith and Zach Davy had catches.

Smith had two interceptions and Seth Robbins and Ward had interceptions for Canton.
