Muncy too much for Sayre.

A big second quarter was the difference in Muncy's 40-0 win over Sayre in NTL Small School football action Friday.

Muncy's Teddy Clark led off the scoring with a 1-yard run in the first quarter to make it 7-0 after the kick.

Then in a six minute stretch in the second quarter the Indians scored four straight touchdowns.

With 5:40 to play Clark scored on a 6-yard run followed by Dakota Nixon scoring at 2:50. Then with 1:51 Anthony Barberio found Maurice Brown for a 32 yard touchdown pass to make it 19-0.

Barberio then struck again with 35.1 seconds before the half as Barberio hit Kenneth Koch for a 17 yard touchdown strike to make it 33-0 at the half.

Then in the third quarter Barberio hit Koch for a 30 yard touchdown strike to make it 4-0.

James Harbst led Sayre in rushing with 40 yards on seven carries while Jeremy Kyc had 23 yards on 16 carries. Garrett Weaver added 22 yards on five carriers.

Through the air Derrick Keir was 1-for-9 for seven yards as Jay Green had the catch.

For Muncy Nixon had 81 yards on nine carries while Tyler Moyle had 38 yards on five carries.

Barberio was 6-for-15 for 118 yards with the three touchdowns. Koch had four catches for 67 yards while Brown had two receptions for 62.
