The 2010 Varsity Football cheerleaders return a veteran squad that has worked extremely hard this summer in preparation for the upcoming season of always exciting Tiger football. Aside from regular practices, the team also attended an NCA cheer camp for 3 days, where 5 team members were named to the All American team. In addition, Junior High team member, Regan Roadarmel also earned the All American title. Because of her outstanding ability, senior Taylor Toczylousky was honored with an invitation and application to join the National Cheerleader’s Association staff next summer. It has been many years since this honor was given to a Southern Columbia cheerleader and Taylor is very deserving.
In an effort to increase Tiger spirit, the team has been working along with the Boosters to organize “Blackout” t-shirt games, outdoor pep rallies, as well as new wooden “TIGER” letters for the fence and new State championship flags that will fly from the top of the bleachers. The team will also be sponsoring a Middle School dance and a Youth Cheer clinic during the season. The team would again like to thank the Boosters for their continued support and inclusion in everything they do. Without the Boosters, the cheerleading program would not have the same level of success that they currently experience.
